Ahmedabad, Dwarka, Somnath & Gir Holiday

Upon arriving in Ahmedabad, you’ll be warmly welcomed and assisted with your hotel check-in. As Gujarat’s historical capital, Ahmedabad has much to offer. We begin at the Gandhi Ashram, where Mahatma Gandhi lived for 12 years with his wife and followers while staying in Sabarmati. Next, we visit the Hutheesing Jain Temple, a stunning structure built in 1848 in the haveli style.

The Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, known for its intricate stone-carved jalis depicting the Tree of Life, was constructed in the 1570s. The Sarkhej Roza complex, a significant site for Sufi culture, houses the tomb of Shaikh Ahmed Khattu Ganj Baksh and Sultan Mehmood Begda.

If it’s not Monday, we’ll head to the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Museum, a former palace now showcasing over 10,000 artifacts. Our afternoon tour continues with the Adalaj Stepwell, an architectural marvel built in 1499, and a visit to Kankaria Lake, created in 1451 and brimming with attractions.

You can also opt for the Light and Sound Show for an extra fee. After exploring the Sabarmati Riverfront, we’ll return to the hotel for your overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

After breakfast this morning, we will head to Dwarka, a sacred town and one of the four important Chardham pilgrimage sites. Dwarka is also one of the seven ancient religious cities in India. We will visit the Dwarkadhish Temple and take a holy dip in the Gomti River. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Begin your day with the early morning aarti (optional) at the Dwarkadhish Temple. After breakfast, visit the renowned Shri Krishna Temple, and then enjoy an exciting ferry or boat ride to the sacred island of Bet Dwarka. Explore Bet Dwarka, the Nageshwar Temple, the Rukmani Temple, the Jyotirling, and the Gomti Talav. In the evening, you can attend the aarti (optional) at the Dwarkadhish Temple. Stay overnight in Dwarka.

After breakfast this morning, check out from the hotel and head to Somnath. Visit the Somnath Temple, the first of the 12 jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and later visit Bhalka Tirth, Triveni Sangam, Geeta Mandir, Chopati, and the Somnath Temple. Attend the evening aarti and enjoy the light and sound show organized by Gujarat Tourism. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Today, head to Sasan Gir, home of the Asiatic Lion. In the afternoon, visit the Gir Interpretation Zone at Devaliya, explore the crocodile breeding farm, and learn more about the park at the Gir Information Centre. Enjoy a movie on lions at the Information Centre in the evening, and spend the night at your hotel.

Have breakfast before checking out today. We’ll depart from Gir and head to Ahmedabad Airport or Railway Station for your journey home. Return with cherished memories to share for a lifetime!
