Itinerary

Day 1Arrival At Varanasi And Witness Ganga Arti In Evening

  • When you reach Varanasi, either at the airport or the train station, our team will welcome you warmly and take you to your hotel. Once there, you’ll have time to rest and prepare for the evening’s activities.
  • The evening will start with a visit to the Dashashwamedh Ghat to witness the Ganga Aarti, a spiritual fire ceremony that’s a must-see in Varanasi. It’s performed every evening, attracting visitors to this ancient and holy place. After the ceremony, as the place becomes less crowded, we’ll take a leisurely walk to Godowlia Crossing. This spot is famous for its local treats like Lassi, a creamy drink made from yoghurt and spices, sometimes mixed with fruit. There’s also Thandai, a sweet, milk-based drink flavoured with rose, almonds, watermelon seeds, and a mix of spices, offering a cool respite from the heat.
  • After enjoying these local flavours and experiencing the best of Varanasi’s sacred spots, we’ll head back to the hotel where you can relax and stay overnight.

Day 2Sunrise Boat Tour with Varanasi Local Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, we’ll head to Assi Ghat, the perfect place to catch a beautiful sunrise. From there, we’ll take a boat ride to Dashashwamedh Ghat and then go to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple to see the sacred Jyotirlinga.
  • Just a short walk from the Vishwanath Temple is the Annapurna Temple, dedicated to Goddess Annapurna. Here, you can see a unique idol of the goddess from the 18th century that has a fascinating story of travelling across oceans before making its way back to Varanasi. Next, we’ll visit the ancient Kaal Bhairav Temple, one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva in Varanasi. Don’t miss the Durga Temple, also known as the Monkey Temple, famous for its impressive architecture and multi-tiered spire. The Tulsi Manas Temple, known for its lovely views and historical importance in Hinduism, is also on our list.
  • We’ll also explore the Sankat Mochan Temple, devoted to Lord Hanuman, which dates back to the 16th century and is among the city’s oldest sacred sites. The Birla Temple, located in the Banaras Hindu University campus and dedicated to Lord Shiva, is another modern temple we’ll visit. Inside BHU, we’ll check out the Bharat Kala Bhavan Museum, showcasing important pieces of Indian art and culture. Another unique spot is the Bharat Mata temple within the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth campus, dedicated to the nation, featuring a marble map of undivided India instead of traditional idols.
  • After lunch, we’ll take a trip to Sarnath, a historic village about 10 km from Varanasi, famous as the site where Gautama Buddha first shared his teachings. The area, now a peaceful deer park, is dotted with Buddhist monuments and archaeological sites. Don’t forget to visit the Sarnath Museum and enjoy a serene walk in the beautiful Buddha Park. We’ll then return to Varanasi for dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3Transfer From Varanasi To Prayagraj enroute Kaushambi

  • Following an early morning meal, we’ll set out at 8 am after checking out, heading to Kaushambi. Our initial stop is the Kaushambi Jain Shwetamber Tirth, nestled within the ruins of a once bustling city. This place is notable for a fortress that Queen Mrigavati constructed, which now stands in ruins. Next, we’ll move on to Prayagraj, where we’ll check into our hotel before exploring the holy meeting point of three rivers.
  • Prayagraj is celebrated as one of India’s holy cities, ideal for a day trip from Varanasi. It is often referred to in historical and mythological writings as Prayag or Teerthraj, a hallowed pilgrimage site where the waters of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati converge. This junction, known as Triveni Sangam, hosts the annual Magha fairs and attracts pilgrims every year. The Kumbh Fair, which occurs every 12 years, is recognized as the largest congregation of worshippers in the world.
  • We will also tour Triveni Sangam, Letey Hanumanji Temple, Shaktipeeths of Prayagraj, Jain Muni Shrine, Akshay Vat and Anand Bhawan, Chandrashekar Azad Park.
  • Later, we’ll head back to our hotel in Prayagraj to relax and stay overnight.

Day 4Transfer From Prayagraj To Ayodhya & Ratnapuri Jain Teerth

  • Start your day with a nice early breakfast before we leave for Ayodhya. Once we get there, we’ll settle into our hotel and then head out for a thrilling visit to Ratnapuri to see the Shri Dharmanath Digambar Jain Tirth Kshetra. This special place is known for its ancient stupa with a Shikhar (peak) on top. It’s a sacred spot because it’s where the holy feet of Bhagwan Dharmanathji are remembered. Here, we celebrate four important events in Bhagwan Dharmanath’s life: his renunciation, birth, meditation, and attainment of ultimate knowledge.
  • Ayodhya, also called Saketa in ancient times, is a city full of history and is believed to be where Lord Rama was born. It’s famous as the setting for the epic tale, the Ramayana, and has many historical treasures from when it was the capital of Awadh. Located by the Sarayu River, our first stop is the Ram Janmabhoomi, the site believed to be Rama’s birthplace. Although an ancient temple there was destroyed in 1528, some of its parts like the pillars still stand strong today.
  • Next, we’ll visit Kanak Bhawan in the northeast part of Ram Janmabhoomi. It’s known as one of Ayodhya’s most beautiful temples, famous for its stunning design. After that, we’re off to see Hanuman Garhi, a significant temple built in the 10th century, known for its importance along with the Nageshwar Nath and the under-construction Ram Temple.
  • We also won’t miss the Lakshman Kila, located in the Terhi Bazar. Another highlight is the Sarayu River Ghat, a famous place where Lord Rama is said to have entered the river and disappeared, according to legend. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful evening walk to end our day.
  • After exploring Ayodhya, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and head back to our hotel to rest up for the night.

Day 5Transfer From Ayodhya To Shravasti And Then To Gorakhpur

Start your day with an early morning meal, and let’s set off for Shravasti at 8 am to explore the historic Jain Temple dedicated to Lord Sambhav Nath. It’s said to be the birthplace of the Jain Tirthankar, Sambhavnath. Shravasti, once the capital of the grand Kosala kingdom, is also famous as the place where Buddha spent a significant part of his life after attaining enlightenment. Here, we’ll also find the ancient Jain Shravasti Teerth Kshetra, which has been uncovered through excavations. Since it’s in a delicate state, we ask everyone to tread lightly and be careful while visiting. Our journey continues towards Gorakhpur, where we’ll check into a hotel in Gorakhpur to rest for the night.

Day 6Day Excursion To Kakandi And Back To Gorakhpur For Departure

Following an early morning meal, we set out for Kakandi at 8 am. Our destination is the revered Digambar Jain Teerth Kshetra in Kakandi, a significant Jain pilgrimage site also celebrated as a “Land of Wonders.” Presently referred to as Khukhundu, this expansive region is home to 30 small hills, each speckled with old structures and temples. Once we’ve explored the Jain Temple, we’ll make our way back to Gorakhpur, ensuring we reach the Gorakhpur Railway station promptly.
