Arrive at Port Blair Airport, where our team will welcome you and help you get to your hotel or resort. Spend the first part of the day relaxing. In the afternoon, explore the Cellular Jail and enjoy a sound and light show.
The Cellular Jail holds a significant place in India’s fight for freedom, as it housed many famous freedom fighters. Now a national memorial, this large three-story building built by the British in 1906, is visited by people remembering the struggle for freedom. The jail silently speaks of the harsh treatments the prisoners, mainly freedom fighters, endured. The evening ends with a sound and light show at the Cellular Jail, bringing to life the stories of these freedom fighters and their quest for independence. Afterwards, head back to your hotel to spend the night.
Starting early in the morning, this one-day journey can be quite busy, taking you through the area around Baratang Island. The trip offers a variety of experiences like boat rides in the backwaters, exploring caves, walking in jungles to see wildlife, driving through mountain roads, enjoying scenic landscapes, visiting the tribal Jarwa region, and seeing a volcano.
Your journey begins from Port Blair, heading to Baratang Island. You’ll visit the limestone caves and see the mud volcano. A unique part of the adventure is the drive through a captivating mangrove forest, leading to the starting point for your trek to the limestone caves. These caves, formed from the mineral calcite (calcium carbonate), showcase stunning natural formations.
After the day’s adventures, you’ll return to Port Blair and stay overnight in a hotel.
After your breakfast today, you will go to the Jetty and catch a ferry or cruise to Havelock Island. This beautiful place, 54 kilometres northeast of Port Blair, is like a hidden gem. Havelock Island spreads over 86 square kilometres and is a peaceful tropical paradise. Its waters, known for their clarity, are among the world’s finest for snorkelling and scuba diving.
In the Andaman Islands’ waters, you can find nearly 1000 types of sea creatures. Divers often spot colourful nudibranchs, sea slugs, various ghost pipefish, jawfish, and many kinds of crustaceans. Havelock is renowned for its tranquil beaches, clear underwater visibility of up to 40 meters, vibrant coral reefs, and its secluded charm, making it a top pick for keen travellers.
Upon reaching Havelock’s Jetty, our team will greet and assist you. They will take you to your hotel where you can settle in and relax. Later in the evening, visit Radhanagar Beach to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Afterwards, return to your hotel in Havelock for a good night’s sleep.
After eating breakfast, leave the hotel and head to Elephant Beach. This beach, known for its untouched beauty, is accessible only by boat. It’s a fantastic location for snorkelling, with a coral-rich reef close to the shore. Elephant Beach is popular for scuba diving too, especially for beginners. You can easily walk from the shore to the diving area.
The journey to the beach takes about 40 minutes by boat. It’s ideal for first-time snorkelers, offering peaceful, shallow waters. You can get into the water directly from the boat to start snorkelling, with the first five minutes free and more time available for an extra charge. The beach is also perfect for a relaxing day, just lying on the sand.
In the afternoon, return to Port Blair by ferry or cruise. Upon arrival, our representative will help you transfer to your hotel for check-in.
Today, set out on a half-day journey to explore two islands, where you’ll see a breathtaking view of seven harbours, including North Bay and Ross Island, sure to create memorable moments.
Ross Island, previously the British administrative hub and capital, is now managed by the Indian Navy. It’s a glimpse into the past, with old buildings almost in ruins. The island houses a small museum, Smritika, displaying photos and British-era relics related to the islands. It’s also known for its deer population and beautiful green pathways.
North Bay is perfect for water enthusiasts who might like to try snorkelling or a glass-bottom boat tour (this is optional) in the clear waters, offering a close view of the corals. It’s also a great spot for picnics, surrounded by a naturally beautiful setting. You’ll return to your hotel in the evening to stay overnight.
