Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at Chandigarh and transfer to Shimla

Get to Chandigarh Airport, we head straight for Shimla, the heart of Himachal Pradesh. This charming mountain getaway, once a favourite summer spot for the British, is now a beloved destination for visitors from all over India. Thanks to its cool weather, winding lanes, and mountains covered in snow, Shimla is often called the ‘Queen of Hill Stations’. It sits more than 2000 meters high and is famous for its stunning scenery. What also draws crowds to Shimla is the chance to try exciting outdoor activities like trekking, climbing, and skiing. After arriving in Shimla, we’ll check into our hotel and relax. We’ll spend the night there, soaking up the peaceful atmosphere.

Day 2Trip to Kufri

  • Start your day with a lovely breakfast and then head out to explore Kufri, a paradise for those who love nature and wildlife. This place offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, challenging treks, thrilling adventure sports, and many exciting places to see. Kufri is perfect for relaxing.
  • It’s especially popular among hikers because of its beautiful weather and scenic beauty, making it a great spot for a summer visit. What’s more, Kufri hosts an exciting winter sports festival every February. Being home to some of the oldest skiing slopes in Himachal Pradesh, it’s known as a go-to destination for skiing. The Himalayan Nature Park nearby is a must-visit, with more than 180 types of animals.
  • Later on, make your way to the famous Mall Road in Shimla. Don’t miss out on Scandal Point and Jhakoo Temple – both are worth a visit. After a day full of adventures, return to your hotel for a delicious dinner and a good night’s sleep in Shimla.

Day 3Transfer from Shimla to Manali

  • After breakfast, get ready for a trip to Manali, a famous hill station in India located at an elevation of 6260 feet. The beautiful Beas River flows through Manali, creating a mesmerizing scene with the tall mountains in the background. Once you arrive, check into your hotel and settle in to enjoy the beautiful views. You have the evening to yourself to relax or explore.
  • Manali, both an old and new town, is like a magical land filled with tourist spots like Rohtang Pass (at extra cost) and Solang Valley. It’s a favourite place for couples on their honeymoon and families on vacation all year round. It’s also becoming popular for adventure sports like zorbing, paragliding, and white water rafting. Spend the night at your hotel in Manali.

Day 4Day Trip to Solang Valley

After breakfast, gear up for a thrilling trip to Solang Valley. Sitting at 8500 feet above sea level, this spot is a paradise for those looking for adventure in Himachal Pradesh. Solang Valley is a place you shouldn’t miss if you love excitement. You have the option to try parachuting, paragliding, skating, or zorbing (these are paid activities). The area is also known for its beautiful forests, apple orchards, snow-covered mountains, and rivers that draw in many tourists. Make sure to stop by Nehru Kund on the way. Next, we head to the Atal Tunnel. This tunnel begins at Solang and stretches for 17 km, taking about 1 hour and 15 minutes to cross, and it ends at a place called SISSU. You can enjoy some activities in Solang on your way back. In the evening, we’ll return to our hotel in Manali for a delicious dinner and a good night’s rest.

Day 5Transfer from Manali to Dharamshala and Half Day Local Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, pack up and start your journey to Dharamshala. Known as the winter home of the Dalai Lama and the winter capital of Himachal Pradesh, located in the Kangra district, Dharamshala truly lives up to its meaning – a ‘rest house for pilgrims.’ Surrounded by the stunning Dhauladhar mountains, Dharamshala is a beautiful hill station. Get ready to enjoy the clear streams, lush pine and deodar forests that follow you, the fresh air, lovely scenery, and the breathtaking mountain views.
  • Feel the fresh breeze and take in the beautiful landscapes as you travel. Once you reach Dharamshala, check into your hotel. Then, set out to explore some of the famous sights, including the Tibetan Medical Centre known for its unique Tibetan treatments. Don’t miss the St. John Church, recognized for its Belgian stained-glass windows gifted by Lady Elgin, and one of the area’s oldest churches. Other must-visit places are the Kangra Art Museum, Tea Gardens, and Kunal Pathri Temple.
  • End your day with an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6Transfers from Dharmshala to Dalhousie and Sightseeing in Khajjiar

  • After your morning meal, leave your hotel and head towards Khajjiar, about 130 kilometres away, taking around 4 hours. This place is often compared to Switzerland for its stunning natural beauty. Khajjiar is a beautiful, saucer-shaped plateau surrounded by thick forests of pine and deodar trees. The charming meadow of Khajjiar, sitting at 1960 meters, is encircled by a 5 km boundary. Dense deodar trees climb up the edges, and above them lies the snow-covered mountains. Upon arriving, check into your hotel.
  • Then, explore the area by visiting a 12th-century temple dedicated to the deity Khajji Nag, which houses life-sized wooden statues of the Pandava brothers from the epic Mahabharata. The temple’s allure is magnified by a nearby small lake with a floating island and a 9-hole golf course, which are also worth visiting.
  • Afterwards, make your way to Dalhousie and check into your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7Departure from Dalhousie to Chandigarh

After having breakfast, we left the hotel and started our journey towards Chandigarh by road, which will take about 8 hours. Upon reaching, we will arrange for your transfer to the airport or railway station, so you can catch your flight or train back home.
